Most people who embark on a home business venture (maybe you) have other commitments, jobs, family responsibilities, called LIFE, that are vying for your time, your effort, and your attention.

The key to success in any home business endeavor is to clarify and focus on what you are committing to DO daily. Consistency is the key to your success! We all know that.

But WHAT are we supposed to DO daily? Check Facebook? Message people? Make new friends? So many options and not all are created equal. It can be an overwhelming mystery and frustrating for many who start their home business, but it doesn’t have to be this way.


Start off looking at your goals and answer CLEARLY the following questions.

  1. What is it you want to accomplish in what amount of time?
  2. What kind of income would you like to make from this opportunity?
  3. What effort is it going to take to get there?
  4. Do you have a clear path to make that happen?
  5. Are you partnered with a mentor who can help you?
  6. Do you have a solid product line and a lucrative commission plan?

These are all questions we must ask when we develop our daily method of operation because the answers will guide what we plan to do each day.

The number one thing that most people forget is building a home business requires income producing activities daily.

THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION: What are income producing activities?

The first thing is to know what they are not.

Income producing activities are not researching your product line. It is not watching videos from your team leaders. It is not scrolling through Facebook.

Income producing activities are what will generate income for you. What will generate income? Bringing in new customers and business builders. This is an easy way to look at it. What activities will bring in new customers and new business builders? Conversations, three-way calls, sharing videos.

Prospecting and recruiting are the two key activities to income growth in your business. If you are not daily prospecting new people and recruiting them in as customers or business builders, you are missing the mark. Each day, you also must improve your skills by investing in your own education. Thirty minutes should be sufficient.

If you are willing to commit day upon day, week upon week, month upon month, in income producing activities and personal development, you will find your business will grow because you will grow. Your skills will grow. Your network will grow. Your confidence will grow. Therefore, your business will grow.

The only people who don’t win in network marketing are those who quit. Commit to a daily method of operation that includes the majority of your time in income producing activities and a daily investment in your own personal growth. I guarantee success is just around the corner for you.
