Yesterday I had the privilege of being interviewed with Jessica Higdon on the national iHeart Radio show ‘This Little Parent Stayed Home’. You can listen in here.
We talked a lot about how to balance your life, your home business and keep your sanity. We discussed things like letting go of guilt and how to make it a priority to do two high value things for your business everyday.
What can you do to help be a part of The Networking Revolution?
Here are a few things that both Jessica and I suggest.[su_list icon=”icon: pencil-square-o” icon_color=”#F45494″][su_list]
- Look to be a more conscious consumer. Spend your money with local entrepreneurs when possible. Just today I purchased a dress for Sadie to wear for 8th grade graduation from a local dress shop. You look to do the same.
- Look to refer business to other women. Find other professionals and create a referral network. Maybe you sell jewelry, someone else sells skincare and another sells travel. Great! Share customers. This is the same as me eating at Subway, getting a drink at Starbucks and ordering a pizza from Papa Johns. Right? I love them all.
- Treat others with kindness. Always.
What I got most out of the interview was a sense of sisterhood we all feel. It doesn’t matter what company you represent, or if you’re growing a business of your own design, we all need support.
That about sums it up for today. Let’s make a commitment to be more conscious consumers and refer business to one another. And always, always, be kind.
P.S. How are you joining #TheNetworkingRevolution?
