This week is a very exciting one. You’re going to learn how to create a Google Hangout On Air and start producing video content for your team, prospects, customers and Google. Videos are a fabulous way to put out content that builds trust, credibility and SEO (Search Engine Optimized) content so more people can find you and your business.
Now is the time to get started! This week you’re going to complete the following 4 items. Super simple. As always be patient with yourself and if you have questions please post them in our group. As they say if you have a question chances are others have the same question too. Let’s navigate this together.
1) Watch this video below:
3) Record a 2-5 Minute Hangout On Air to Broadcast Hangout None welcoming people to your YouTube Channel, tell them who you are and what they can expect when they subscribe to your channel. We will use this video next week as the trailer for your own YouTube Channel.
That means right now you need to decide what you want your channel to be about. Is it a channel that will provide training for your team? Will you provide product reviews and business opportunity calls for prospects? Or both?
Script it out, or just turn on the Broadcast button and start talking. This is not about perfection as much as it is about using the tools and overcoming the fear of videos.
4) Once you are done and you click “Stop Broadcast” you’ll see the link for your video on your Google+ Profile page. It will say “Shared Privately” that is good. That means no one else saw it. Tag me in the post in the comments section. I want to see it! Do this by Wednesday.
Remember PERFECTION IS THE ENEMY OF PROGRESS. To move forward just do it. Yes it will be uncomfortable. Yes you’ll want to re-do and re-do and re-do it. Resist the temptation. Be objective and compassionate and congratulate yourself for doing what 99% of Networking Women are NOT doing.
Got it? Good!
And here’s the part that was recorded to my YouTube channel (you’ll see me click “Start Broadcast” and that is the only part that recorded)
See how that works? Also when you broadcast to none it will be an unlisted video on your channel. If you want to make it public, you will have to go into the Video Manager and change the settings. Super easy. But I’ll get into that more next week.
Don’t sweat it now. Just record. Tag me. Done.
