We all know that selling something is not as easy as it seems. Although we would like to just say our widget has features A, B and C and that addresses your problems A, B and C, it is not always a sure thing that someone will buy from us.
The reality is people buy from someone they know, they like and they trust. When you decide to join a direct selling or network marketing business, what I have termed ‘franchise from home’, you must have the ability to build strong relationships and learn from your mistakes in order to make sales and it can often be frustrating when you start.
Here are three tips to help you weather the learning curve and take the necessary actions to grow your franchise from home.[su_service title=”Watch what other successful people do and emulate them.” icon=”icon: angle-double-right” icon_color=”#98D400″]Are your up line mentors successful? Probably so. Watch what they do on Facebook, and copy it. Watch how they communicate with people, and try talking like they do. Listen when they run conference calls and feel their confidence. Think like they think.[/su_service] [su_service title=”Practice patience.” icon=”icon: angle-double-right” icon_color=”#98D400″]When my girls and I are waiting in a long line at the store, or we’re stuck in traffic I say, “This is our opportunity to practice patience today.” The muscles of patience only get built through practice…there is no such thing as ‘the gift of patience’. Remember this is not an overnight get rich quick scheme. This is an endeavor to make a living off of helping others get what they want and that takes time. Just because your results aren’t immediate doesn’t mean you aren’t on the right track, just utilize a little more patience.[/su_service] [su_service title=”You either win or you learn.” icon=”icon: angle-double-right” icon_color=”#98D400″]Listen in any endeavor you have two choices, you can win or you can learn. Those who choose to lose are the ones who quit the game and never find out what they are truly made of, but that’s not you. Look at your business as a scientist would. Here’s an experiment. I said “Blah blah blah….” and the person didn’t respond. Ok I’ll not say that again. You either find out what works or you find out what doesn’t work and you adjust your sales accordingly.[/su_service]
The only way to find out what doesn’t work is by simply throwing yourself in the ring, make as many phone calls as you can, try out different conversations styles, ask different questions, quit conversations sooner that are going nowhere.
Ask questions to get people to make decisions sooner. Get them to a yes or no, and you will find that you will have better success. When you emulate others who are successful, practice patience and look at life as a win or learn game I promise it won’t be long until you rise to the top.
